NEW YORK, Oct. 25, 2011 — – On October 19, 2011 at the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City, Grapes for Humanity Global Foundation (GFH Global) raised over $350,000 thanks to the incredible generosity of David Pearson, CEO of Opus One, and other supporters.

Guests at the dinner joined distinguished members of the international wine community in tasting five vintages of Opus One: 1985, 1996, 2001, 2005, and, for the first time, 2008.

Before the dinner, guests were treated to a Cristal 2004 reception in the hotel’s Garden Room donated by Frederic Rouzaud of Louis Roederer Champagne. To finish the evening, Jean-Guillaume Prats of Cos d’Estournel donated Imperial Estate Hetszolo 1996 6P Tokaji Aszu .

“We were honored to host an auction dinner with Grapes for Humanity Global Foundation at the beautiful venue provided by the Four Seasons Hotel in New York City. We were highly gratified that the evening produced a new record in donations,” said David Pearson, CEO of Opus One

GFH Global is an internationally recognized charitable foundation that has raised more than $2 million to support landmine survivors and innocent victims of conflict and disease around the world.

The funds raised at last week’s dinner will support the GFH Global Arts Therapy Programs in Haiti and Cambodia, St. Damien Pediatric Hospital in Haiti, The Hanger Ivan R. Sabel Foundation, and Lavalla School and Orphanage in Cambodia.

The evening was sponsored by Navios Maritime Holdings, Inc., Mutual of America and Jacq. Pierot Jr & Sons, Inc.

Father Richard Frechette will be in attendence talking about his work at St. Damien’s Hospital in Port au Prince, Haiti. http://francescaravafoundation.org

We are proud to welcome Sobani Restaurant as a corporate table sponsor. www.sobani620.com

Highlights of Silent Auction

6 Litre Bottle of Mormoreto 2007 – tour of Frescobaldi Vineyards and lunch or dinner with Leonardo Frescobaldi in Florence, Italy. There are only a few of these bottles produced each year and 2007 is an exceptional vintage. Leonardo Frescobaldi will be personally sign the bottle.

Jeroboam (3 Liter) Cristal Rosé – Cristal Rosé is the rarest champagne by Louis Roederer. Its first vintage was 1974. It is even rarer in a Jeroboam (3 liter), which is produced in an extremely limited quality. These special bottles – the best of Champagne Louis Roederer – are never for sale, but donated to a small number of exceptional charity auctions. When Cristal Rosé does occur, it is produced only from the best family-owned vineyards with regimented standards of winemaking. The traditional skin maceration is used in order to gently extract the Pinot Noir’s natural pigment for the unique color; an addition of about 40 percent grands crus Chardonnay creates the particular harmonious style of this exquisite rosé. The winner will be invited with a guest of his/her choice to a private visit of the proprietary cellars, a tasting and to lunch at the family residence in Reims, France, at the date mutually agreed upon. Also, the Jeroboam will be presented in a wooden gift box with a personalized brass plate honoring the name of the generous donor.

Seating is limited:

$300 per person

$350 per person including round trip transportation from the Four Seasons Hotel

$5,000 – Corporate Table for 10 people
